French Louie and his Biographer is a fast moving presentation by
author Roy Reehil based on his new book about the famous woodsman and
hermit French Louie Seymour and his biographer Harvey Dunham.
The show features dozens of vintage photographs depicting Louie's life as a canal boat driver, lumberjack,
woodsman and guide and reveals the back story of
Louie's biographer, Harvey Dunham, who kept Louie's legacy alive by writing Adirondack French Louie: Early Life in the North Woods.
Many of the photographs in the presentation are from Dunham's recently discovered photo-journals
of trips into the Adirondack wilderness during the
1920s.
A question and answer session will follow the lecture after which Roy will be available to sign books.
